Lexington / Poe
Lexington / Poe, The Townes at the Terraces is a Hope VI housing development offering for sales townhouses, public housing townhouses and a senior building.
In 2008, Lexington / Poe computer lab was one of the four public housing computer labs in Baltimore City to be upgraded by the TDF Foundation Grant in partnership with One Economy and the Housing Authority of Baltimore City (HABC). The grant provided dedicated computer resources and software applications, high-speed Internet access, and professional support to the community.
Ms. Lorraine Ledbetter is the lab coordinator and offers classes for the children in the community. In 2009, the computer lab was part of the Digital Connectors Program, sponsored by One Economy.
The TDF Foundation will continue to support this community through calendar year 2010 by providing high-speed Internet service through Verizon.
